Almost Christmas!

It's almost Christmas and we're SO thrilled! Santa came to our studio last Saturday. My Grandma and Aunt are in from out of state. It's not too cold and the studio's offical last day to be open is today. I'm about to go there for our last ordering session. Of course I still have to meet and fulfill about 4 orders but the end is in site! We have 6 days until we leave for Florida!!

Here are 2 recent pictures. The one with Enoch is from last week. For school the assignment was to disect an eyeball since we were studying eyes. I didn't do hardly any of it (way too gross) but I did go over for the cool parts and it is incredible. Janiece said she didn't disect an eyeball till anatomy and physiology so the 4 year olds are well on their way!

The picture in the tub is just the boys messing around.

OK well this is it for now. It's taken me several hours to post this!

We had a good Halloween. It wasn't good that Ben had to work, but he wore his hook and Captain Hook hat in and I gave him some outrageoulsy big eyebrows and mustache with my makeup!! Aybrin had the big eyebrows and mustache too. He was so cute! I even made Asher's eyebrows green to match his Peter Pan costume. Jonna went with us again which was super nice. At her exact age I dressed up so I could take her trick-or-treating and I was Morticia Adams with white face. It's kind of funny! Here's a couple of pictures of some very cute kiddos.

Halloween is tomorrow! We can barely wait!! Aybrin is going to be Captain Hook and Asher is Peter Pan. Aybrin wanted to be WAll-E but I think he's now satisfied to be Hook. Ben also has Hook hat and a hook. He has to work, which really stinks, but he's going dressed to work in his semi-costume ;-) It'll be fun!

Yesterday we visited the Pumpkin Patch, finally. I was worried we wouldn't make it this year since we've been slammed with the photo business and now we're all coughing up a storm. But we made it! And last night we carved a mummy pumpkin. When I get done messing here I'll probably get started on our Frankenstein pumpkin!

We're learning about hearing and paying attention in school. We got a new KONOS curriculum that we are thoroughly enjoying. We got to make an ear model then crawl through it! Aybrin and Enoch can tell you the parts of the ear and what's inside. Did you know we have a drum and a hammer in our ears? We are truely "fearfully and wonderfully made"! Then we went to a hearing specialist in Ozark (who I highly recommend) and he put a videocamera in all of our ears (5 kids plus 2 adults...he was so kind) and gave us an ear model! It was so neat. This SOOO beats sitting still in a classroom and we learned SO much! We're working on our math and reading still and we'll be onto eyes next week I think. They even get to disect a cow's eyeball! They're going to Janiece's for that one. Everyone who knows me knows how squeemish I am! We're thrilled with how much our 4 year olds are already learning. Not to mention how much Asher is picking up by just sitting there. Asher's big accomplishment is that he went out to town all day yesterday and only peed his undies a tad bit! We were all over town too and all day taking Grandma to therapy, us to Michael's, McDonald's, then the Pumpkin Patch. So I was very happy with him! He does great at home but I was a little leery of taking him out. He proved me wrong and I'm so glad.

We FINALLY got a blog!!!

Yeah, let's add it to our already way too full plate! The fly lady calls people like us a "SHE" which stands for "sidetracked home executive". I'm trying to overcome it ;-)
There is a lady on our homeschool group who has a blog and posts photos of when they go somewhere and do cool stuff. So I wanted to be able to do that too. That way family who is curious about our life and how much fun we have, can look on our blog! It's full and extremely busy but very fun!!
Since the boy's site was SO hard to maintain I'm hoping to do much better with this!

We're anxiously awaiting Halloween! I'll try to post photos of them in their costumes tomorrow.
